988 EVENTS THAT CHANGED THE WORLD, ARE YOU PREPARED FOR THE NEXT ONE?

VERSE: 2 Corinthians 5:9-10 Are you prepared?

SYNOPSIS: There are events that have happened throughout time. That have forever changed the world. These events when they happen change our relationship with ELOHIM. Some people do not like them. No most people do not like them, they fight against them. In today’s lesson we are going to look at world changing events throughout Scriptural history. Events that forever changed the world. We are going to study how that affects us and our eternal souls. Question who was the first one who was jealous? Who was the first to covet? Who was the first to have both of those characteristics? Who was the first to hate? Who was the first to think they were gods? How do these emotions affect us today? How do those emotions affect our final trial?

HOW DOES ELOHIM DETERMINE WHAT LEVEL OF BLESSING TO GIVE YOU

B’resheet (Gen) 2:3 this established the only weekly holy day.

Gen 2:3  God blessed the seventh day and separated it as holy; because on that day God rested from all his work which he had created, so that it itself could produce.

Gen 2:7  Then YEHOVAH, God, formed man [Hebrew: adam] from the dust of the ground [Hebrew: adamah] and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, so that he became a living being.

Yechezk'el (Eze) 28:14-15 jealousy comes into the world.

Eze 28:14  You were a keruv, protecting a large region; I placed you on God's holy mountain. You walked back and forth among stones of fire.

Eze 28:15  You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you.

Gen 3:5  because God knows that on the day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

Gen 3:6  When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it had a pleasing appearance and that the tree was desirable for making one wise, she took some of its fruit and ate. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her; and he ate.

DESIRABLE: H2530 חמד châmad BDB Definition: to desire, covet, take pleasure in, delight in (verb)

B’resheet (Gen) 6:5-8 now jealousy and coveting are part of human nature.

Gen 6:5  YEHOVAH saw that the people on earth were very wicked, that all the imaginings of their hearts were always of evil only.

Gen 6:6  YEHOVAH regretted that he had made humankind on the earth; it grieved his heart.

Gen 6:7  YEHOVAH said, "I will wipe out humankind, whom I have created, from the whole earth; and not only human beings, but animals, creeping things and birds in the air; for I regret that I ever made them."

Gen 6:8  But Noach found grace in the sight of YEHOVAH.

B’resheet (Gen) 11:1-4 this event changed the world so that we could not communicate with each other.

Gen 11:1  The whole earth used the same language, the same words.

Gen 11:2  It came about that as they traveled from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shin`ar and lived there.

Gen 11:3  They said to one another, "Come, let's make bricks and bake them in the fire." So they had bricks for building-stone and clay for mortar.

Gen 11:4  Then they said, "Come, let's build ourselves a city with a tower that has its top reaching up into heaven, so that we can make a name for ourselves and not be scattered all over the earth."

B’resheet (Gen) 12:1-3 this separated out a certain people over all others.

Gen 12:1  Now YEHOVAH said to Avram, "Get yourself out of your country, away from your kinsmen and away from your father's house, and go to the land that I will show you.

Gen 12:2  I will make of you a great nation, I will bless you, and I will make your name great; and you are to be a blessing.

Gen 12:3  I will bless those who bless you, but I will curse anyone who curses you; and by you all the families of the earth will be blessed."

Gen 19:9  "Stand back!" they replied. "This guy came to live here, and now he's decided to play judge. For that we'll deal worse with you than with them!" Then they crowded in on Lot, in order to get close enough to break down the door.

At the time of Amos, the Prophet Jonah was sent to the Assyrian capital of Nineveh, the largest city in the world.

Nineveh was a sinful place. It had a temple to the pagan goddess, Ishtar, with female prostitutes, as well as male prostitutes dressed as females, together with infant sacrifice.

At the time of Jonah’s preaching, the solar eclipse prophesied by Amos took place, June 15, 763 BC.

B’resheet (Gen) 21:9-13 This is the only line and it cause great jealousy.

Gen 21:9  But Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom Hagar had borne to Avraham, making fun of Yitz'chak;

Gen 21:10  so Sarah said to Avraham, "Throw this slave-girl out! And her son! I will not have this slave-girl's son as your heir along with my son Yitz'chak!"

Gen 21:11  Avraham became very distressed over this matter of his son.

Gen 21:12  But God said to Avraham, "Don't be distressed because of the boy and your slave-girl. Listen to everything Sarah says to you, because it is your descendants through Yitz'chak who will be counted.

Gen 21:13  But I will also make a nation from the son of the slave-girl, since he is descended from you."

B’resheet (Gen) 16:12 remember this prophecy it is happening in Israel today.

Exo 2:5  The daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe in the river while her maids-in-attendance walked along the riverside. Spotting the basket among the reeds, she sent her slave-girl to get it.

Exo 2:6  She opened it and looked inside, and there in front of her was a crying baby boy! Moved with pity, she said, "This must be one of the Hebrews' children."

Exo 2:7  At this point, his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, "Would you like me to go and find you one of the Hebrew women to nurse the baby for you?"

Exo 2:8  Pharaoh's daughter answered, "Yes, go." So the girl went and called the baby's own mother.
