SYNOPSIS: What is going on this world today? To stand alone with the word can be very lonely and even scary. The moon was not sighted anywhere in the world. So should we follow the rabbi’s and celebrate the new year? Absolutely not. What is the purpose of the Shofar? What is it prophetic purpose? Today we stand for the word and we hear the call of the Shofar.

HASHABBAT LESSON: THE PURPOSE OF THE SHOFAR. Sh’mot (Ex) 19:14-20 the actual first time the word shofar is used. Y’hoshua (Josh) 6:12-18 seven cohanim carrying the seven shofars. Yechezk'el (Eze) 33:1-9 he blows the Shofar. Psalm 81:1-7 the tool to announce YEHOVAH’S holy day has arrived.  Shoftim (Judges) 7:15-22 the Shofar causes confusion in the enemies camp.
